The NSW Police Entrance Examination is used to select recruits for NSW Police. It is administered by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) on behalf of NSW Police.

If you are applying to NSW Police you will be required to sit the NSW Police Entrance Examination.

Candidates can undertake the NSW Police Entrance exam before submitting an application to the NSW Police Force and before enrolling in the UCWE. This option gives candidates the opportunity to complete one of the mandatory recruitment elements and be a step ahead once they lodge their application.

IMPORTANT RULE CHANGES: As of May 2018 all candidates requiring a re-sit no longer need to wait 3 months to start their re-sit. The new waiting period is 21 days (3 weeks).
